I’m Kathy Wheatley and I established RAS because I know the most serious threat facing remodelers is poor, non-existent, or forensic bookkeeping. In order to experience steady, profitable growth, you must know where you are financially every day. RAS is equipped to do that for your company!
As founder and President of RAS, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting and, more important I was full partner, CEO, CFO and CMO of Wheatley Associates, a $5 Million high-end, layered remodeler owned and operated by me and my late husband Gary for over 32 years.
As the Certified Financial Officer of Wheatley, I was responsible for establishing our annual operating budget, which dictated our staffing, equipment/vehicle purchases, marketing budget, etc. Additionally,
I monitored the budget vs. actual costs for each project, no matter the size, for every phase of construction, on a weekly basis. I am most proud of the fact that we generally met or exceeded our estimated gross profit margin per job. I will do the same for your business. Because of my in-depth knowledge of remodeling, I see opportunities to increase profitability that others may not.
While Wheatley Associates ran lean and mean, with a highly competent staff
doing work that won the industry’s most prestigious awards ( including a regional Chrysalis, the coveted Renaissance Award and Maryland Remodeler of the Year), the greatest asset however was timely and accurate financials.
